Sea Cargo Transportation & Trade (Cargo System)

The Cargo System is a custom virtual sea cargo transportation and trading economy developed for New Hope UO. Players purchase and transport cargo between various docks to earn gold, level up, and gain experience (XP).

1. Leveling and XP Progression

  • Max Level: 20
  • Purchase Discount: Receives a 1% discount per level on cargo purchase prices (Up to 20% discount at Level 20).
  • Level Up Gold Rewards:
    • Level 2: 10,000,000 Gold (10M)
    • Level 20: 100,000,000 Gold (100M)
    • Gold rewards scale progressively for intermediate levels between 10M and 100M.

2. Cargo Docks & Coordinates

Cargo Master NPCs spawn at the docks of both Hopelands and Trammel facets at the following coordinates:

  • Britain Docks: (1471, 1761, 7) - South docks/bridge of Britain Bank.
  • Moonglow Docks: (4404, 1040, 0)
  • Vesper Docks: (2900, 875, 0)
  • Jhelom Docks: (1374, 3816, 0)
  • Nujel'm Docks: (3772, 1346, 0)
  • Magincia Shore: (2212, 1215, 0)
  • Buccaneer's Den: (2712, 2180, 0)

3. Ship Size Multipliers

Larger ships carry more cargo, scaling both the purchase cost and profit/XP payouts:

  • Rowboat (Tiny): 0.5x capacity & profit.
  • Small Boat (Default): 1.0x capacity & profit.
  • Medium Boat: 1.4x capacity & profit.
  • Large / Long Boat: 1.8x capacity & profit.
  • High Seas Galleon (Kalyon): 2.5x capacity & profit.

4. Autopilot and Navigation

  • Autopilot Command: Players can type [cargo or [kargo while on a boat to view contracts and toggle Autopilot.
  • Collision Override: The autopilot bypasses collisions with water monsters, obstacles, and other players to prevent getting stuck at sea.
  • Britain - Vesper Route: Auto-travels between Britain and Vesper docks, stopping safely in the water.
  • Britain - Skara Brae Route: Auto-travels between Britain and Skara Brae docks, stopping safely in the water.
